It all began with a simple question: what if you could win a game by doing LESS work? The Lazy Chef was born — a push-your-luck card game where the goal was to dump your orders on everyone else.
But then my daughter played it and said: "He's not lazy — he's the FASTEST chef!" And she was right. Clearing your orders first means you're the best in the kitchen, not the laziest. So the game got a new name and a new attitude.
Each chef starts with a stack of order tickets. On your turn, flip cards one at a time from the kitchen deck:
🎫 Still Cooking — nothing happens, card goes back to your hand.
✅ Order Ready — order served! One less ticket for you!
💜 Not My Problem — dump an order on the next chef!
🔥 Burnt! — disaster! Your entire turn is cancelled.
🔀 Station Swap! — everyone switches stations! Total chaos!
The trick: you can stop flipping anytime to keep your gains. But push your luck too far and you might hit Burnt... 🔥
"Chop Chop!" — because in a real kitchen, speed is everything. The head chef yells "chop chop!" when orders are backing up. First to clear your station wins. No room for slowpokes.
